About this place
The homemade tsukune are tender, with sauce that clings to each skewer. Odazumokko’s whole chicken hearts are also worth trying. Served unopened, they left a lasting impression on some diners, who noted how their savoury flavour filled the mouth in a single bite. Yakitori is available in chef’s-choice assortments of 3 or 5 skewers, an easy option whether you want to start with a few or aren’t sure what to choose.
Alongside the skewers, shiokara yakisoba gives the menu a distinctive touch. One diner also praised the potato salad for its rich cheese flavour. It could make a good snack while you wait for the skewers, or another dish to add to the table. The menu also features flavours associated with Miyagi and the Sanriku coast, including salted squid shiokara from Kesennuma, Sanriku wakame seaweed with ponzu, and sasa-kamaboko fish cake served with wasabi.
Miyagi sake is available too, offering a chance to explore regional flavours over skewers and small plates. For a meal with all-you-can-drink options, there is a standard course with 10 dishes and draft beer capped at 1 glasses, as well as the Miyagi Tasting Course, listed with 10 Miyagi dishes and unlimited draft beer.
Some diners have enjoyed a drink alone at the counter, while others have visited with friends or colleagues at a table. This izakaya suits both a casual evening centred on skewers and a group meal shared over a course, with different ways to enjoy the menu.
